Corrie Ten Boom Speaks at Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
I loved Corrie Ten Boom last night! So glad she could make the long journey to be with us for our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. I loved hearing her stories. I have to admit I wasn't sure at first how her story would tie in with our work, but I wasn't left wondering for long. She passionately shared how she and her family worked tirelessly to save Jewish friends and neighbors (and even strangers) when the Nazis invaded Holland in the 1940's. Bravely confronting a leadership bent on death, she courageously fought for life. If you haven't already read one of Corrie's book, we recommend checking out The Hiding Place.
ps. Okay, so maybe it wasn't really Corrie Ten Boom, but the actor who portrayed did a fabulous job :)
