Adoption vs. Abortion

Adoption vs. Abortion

Adoption vs. Abortion
More similarities than you might think

Think abortion and adoption don't have much in common? We emphasize the following similarities between the two options to abortion-minded young women, especially those who feel they are not ready to parent.

Similarities between Adoption & Abortion
* You can pursue earlier goals and plans
* You can live independently
* You will not have to parent before you are ready
* You will have the freedom to choose if you want to have a long-term relationship with the baby's father
* You can resume your education or career

Of course, we also share the stark differences between choosing abortion and making an adoption plan.

Differences between Adoption & Abortion
* In adoption, your pregnancy ends with giving life. In abortion, your pregnancy ends with death.
* In adoption, you can feel good about your choice. In abortion, you may feel guilt and shame about your choice.
* In adoption, you will remember giving birth. In abortion, you will remember taking life.
* In adoption, you will have plenty of time to plan your future and your baby's future. Abortion is final, and you can't reverse your decision.
* In adoption, you can hold, name, and love your baby. In abortion, you will never know or treasure your baby.
* In adoption, you can have continued contact with your child and know how he or she is growing and developing. In abortion, you will miss the opportunity to see your child grow and develop.
