From Ministry to Marriage
-Sara Calcote, Development Assistant
Looking back 2 ½ years ago, I never imaged what working at Pregnancy Resources would mean to me. It wasn’t just another job; it was so much more than that.
Working for a ministry was never part of my plan, but it was part of God’s plan. God has blessed my time at Pregnancy Resources. I have done more than most 23 year olds: from being able to share my thoughts on Moody radio, to promoting the ministry on KWQC News, to being able to help plan major fundraisers.
The thing that I appreciate the most about this ministry is the love: not just the ordinary emotion, but Christ like love, where you truly feel like they care about you. I have seen it in the way our staff and volunteers interact with our clients and I have felt it personally. I have gone through a lot since being a part of this ministry from family emergencies to getting engaged, and I have felt so covered in prayer and support from all the ladies here.
It is a bittersweet feeling as I leave this ministry to get married on May 16th to an amazing man of God. I will miss all of you dearly, but I am excited to see where God will lead me next. Please pray for me as I seek a new job and begin my marriage; I will continue to pray for this ministry to help further God’s kingdom by reaching women and men in this community with Christ’s love.
Wishing Pregnancy Resources another 25 years!
